You may have seen the email that came through earlier today from REMAX regarding a potential acquisition involving The Real Brokerage. We want to provide some immediate context and clarity.

First, this ownership change is related to REMAX LLC but does not affect the ownership of your Gold Nation company. This merger is between REAL Broker and REMAX, our franchisor. It does not affect the ownership of Gold Nation or the companies that make up Gold Nation.

This information is new to all of us at the same time. Because REMAX is a publicly traded company, announcements like this are not shared in advance with brokerage owners or leadership teams, as mandated by the Federal Trade Commission.

Second, this is the beginning of a process, not a completed transaction. As outlined in the communication, the proposed merger is expected to close in the second half of 2026 and remains subject to approvals and standard closing conditions. In other words, nothing is guaranteed at this stage.

Third, there are no changes needed to your everyday business activities. The REMAX brand, tools, systems, and your day-to-day operations remain the same. The guidance from REMAX is clear: it is business as usual. 

Most importantly, as members of the Gold Nation Community, the number one and largest/strongest REMAX organization in the world covering eight states within our region, it is our goal to use this opportunity to provide even more resources and support that will benefit you as valued members of our collective brokerages.

Our recommendation is simple. Stay informed as updates are released, but do not overreact or make business decisions based solely on early-stage information. These types of announcements often generate noise, and it is important to remain focused on what you can control—serving your clients and running your business, which is constantly evolving. We have successfully adapted time and again over the years, and this is what will happen here as well!
